| I began
my art career as a watercolor artist specializing in portraits and in
painting people of third world cultures. I am inspired by
the spirits of the people who live in underdeveloped countries because
despite the challenges of poverty, lack of material possessions and
education, or of natural disasters and harsh climates, their inner
spirits light them. This is evidenced through their music, art,
folklore, and also of the gratitude, respect and compassion that they
show to one another. I have come to understand that ones potential
rides on the joy and light from within. In expressing my own
inner joy, my art recently took off in another direction while still
boasting the vibrant colors I am known for. It is my hope that
as I expand my creativity and share it, a deep part of me will connect
to a deep part of you. |
